Patrick Leuner Patrick Leuner, ASLA, APLD

Patrick’s personal “landscape” of education, training and experience spans two continents and nearly four decades, including 30 years in the Pacific Northwest. Here his passion for the native environment grew and his vision for design that blends with the natural landscape emerged.

Following early horticultural education in Pretoria and Johannesburg, South Africa, Patrick was among just five international students selected to study at the prestigious Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1974.

Subsequently, he earned his degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Oregon, moved to Seattle,
and worked with several well-known landscape design and construction firms.

With his wife, Betsy, Patrick started Leuner Landscape Design, Inc. on Bainbridge Island in 1987 and currently works on a variety of projects from their studio on nine acres in Hansville, Washington. For detailed profiles, click here.
